Galleria PaciArte contemporanea presenta Phil Borges uno dei maestri della fotografia americana, che da oltre 25 anni documenta la vita delle popolazioni tribali di tutto il mondo.

Una fotografia tesa a dar voce a chi non ce lâ€™ha, che ha come missione la rivalutazione delle culture che stanno via via scomparendo, mettendo lâ€™accento sul loro valore e rappresentando le sfide che le attendono.

Il suo lavoro cerca di rendere piÃ¹ comprensibili le tematiche riguardanti le popolazioni in via di sviluppo: â€œVoglio che lo spettatore veda queste persone come individui, che conosca i loro nomi e un poâ€™ della loro storia, non che le veda solamente come degli estranei che abitano terre lontane.â€

Pluripremiato per il suo impegno umanitario nel 2008 ha collaborato con Amnesty International Pubblicando Enduring Spirit, le sue raccolte fotografiche sono tradotte in 4 lingue e le sue opere sono esposte nei musei di tutto il mondo.

La mostra in galleria fa parte del circuito ufficiale della III Edizione della Biennale Internazionale di Fotografia CittÃ di Brescia; Inoltre alcuni lavori di Phil Borges verranno esposti presso la Sede centrale della Biennale: Museo Santa Giulia.

The PaciArte contemporanea Art Gallery hereby presents Phil Borges one of the masters of American photography and for the past 25 years has been documenting the life of tribal populations all over the world.

This photography is aimed at giving a voice to those who do not possess one, its mission is the re-evaluating of cultures which are slowly but surely disappearing, thus putting more emphasis on their value and representing the challenges awaiting them.

His work tries to make themes concerning developing populations more comprehensible: â€œI want the spectator to see these people as individuals, to know their names and a bit of their history, not just to think of them as strangers living in faraway lands.â€

Multi-awarded for his humanitarian commitment, in 2008 he has collaborated with Amnesty International Publishing Enduring Spirit, his photographic collections have been translated into 4 languages and his works are being displayed in museums all over the world.

The exhibition in this art gallery is part of the official circuit of the III Edition of the International Biennial City of Brescia Photography. Furthermore, some of Phil Borgesâ€™ works will be exhibited at the Biennialâ€™s Central Seat: the Santa Giulia Museum.
